Hello everyone, I would just like to take notes on the peoples opinion with my problem , I have an 81 300SD, and would like to lower my ride height with Intrax lowering springs, i have found a one time deal on a brand new Intrax lowering set intended for the 89-91 300 SE/SEL's . The question is, as they are all w126 chassis, and according to what i gather on these cars chassis weights, 3625 lbs. for the 300SD and 3585lbs. for the 300SE and 3630 lbs. for the 300 SEL. all within 45 lbs of each other. I myself can't see why they wouldn't work on the 81 SD. I was just wondering if i can challenge anyones opinion here on the compatibiity of these springs going onto my Diesel, can i make it work? Just wanna thank everyone for their opinions in advance. Like someone said in an earlier post, they said if it wasn't for mercedes shop they wouldnt be driving their w126 Benz today, and i totally will have to agree to that one. thanks to all for the creative, informative and enlightening real life information that can be found here.
