When I say Coil I'm not talking about the resistor, I'm talking about the actual engine coil (and there are 2 in my V8).
My Aux Fan resistor is not sealed. There are 2 screws that hold it onto the vehicle. To get to the bottom screw, you must remove the engine coil cover, otherwise there is no room to work a small wrench or ratchet.
As far as resistance, I did not measure it. One of the 2 screws that sit on the porcelin housing is rusted (top one). When I connect the wires to the resisitor it begins to smoke.
So, now I'm still just wondering.. What happens after I pop the rivet on the coil cover? Will it snap back on?
