It's likely your switch contacts are dirty. Do a search on cleaning seat switch, and you may be able to get away with spraying it with radio contact cleaner. I did a post on how-to Power Seat Switch Cleaning
The 1 and 2 buttons are to store seat forward/backward and headrest positions, explained in your owners manual (if you have one). Set the seat up, press the green button, then 1 (or 2) within 3 seconds (or is that press 1, then green...sorry, I forget, and my manuals outside).
