Our beloved 1985 190E 2.3 has finally been removed from service. I was goin to pull the 5-spd and put in my 300E, but as I may be moving to Europe in January for several months (at least) I may not want to pay storage in the US.
She's been in our family since the late 80's. We bought it at 30k miles. It currently has 210k +/- and has been well maintained throughout (my dad worked at the dealer). But she's old and tired. Interior is ok but not nice, dash is cracked. Body has rust in most places, but hood/trunk/roof are rust free. The worst is the rear subframe where the differential bolts in; bad rust there. That is why we stopped driving it. The engine runs strong, but will need some head work at some point as #4 fouls the plug every thousand miles and the valves are a little loud on that cylinder. Tranny is perfect. It was replaced at around 50k miles under warrany w/ a new one. If yr looking to do a manny conversion on anything, here's yr parts car. Lots of other nice parts, but a lot of work to get back on the road due to the rust. No parts are missing (not partially parted out).
You might be able to drive it home if you're brave, but I would recommend a trailer (and will not be responsible if you try to drive it away
). It's in zip 14063.
Pics available on request.
$550 takes it.
