Electric vacuum pump connector in the trunk can make you feel crazy!

The other day I noted that when I locked the driver's door on my 126 I did not hear the other doors, fuel door or trunk lock. Today I first looked at the # 11 fuse and then checked the electric vacuum pump in the trunk. Well, the white plastic connector was in small broken parts with the three wires (brown, yellow and green) without a home.

I reconnected the wire (guess work) until I could hear the electric vacuum pump in the trunk come to life and lock all the locks except the driver door lock. I then used the key on the driver door lock and it locked while all the other locks unlocked. That is where I am now, any thing I do to the driver's lock with my hand or the key, the other locks to the reverse.

I think I am too close to the problem and can not think it out. Also, I do not want to take the car to my mechanic (of many years) because of the joking I will hear for the next year or two, ask me how I know?

Any Ideas?
