Hi.
When this condition happens, do you hear the fuel pumps run in the rear of the car ? You should be able to hear a "buzzing" noise when the engine runs.
Fuel pump is located under the car right under the right rear passenger seat.
If you don't hear them when the no-start condition occurs, its "possible" that
the ovp relay is bad. I just had a customer's car towed in today with the same complaint. Had no power to the fuel pump. Further testing showed a bad ovp relay. In your case, it could be an ovp relay or a fuel pump relay.
These relays are located behind the plastic shield that is right behind the battery. When this happens again, pull the plastic shield out of the way and look for a black rectangular shaped relay that says "kickdown" on top of it. Put your hand on the relay and have someone turn on the ignition,and see if you feel or hear the relay click. If it doesn't, it may not be powering up do to
the ovp relay. (the ovp relay, also behind the battery has a fuse in the top of it.) The testing for the relays is simple yet time consuming to type out - yet it may likely be one of those 2 relays. Hope this helps some. (Please so this at your own risk, No responsibility assumed.)
