Rather than the 1/4" flare fittings found on R12 system, the R134a will be a popoff fitting much like a quick couple air hose. There will be a Red plastic cap on the high side fitting and a Blue on the low side.

Actually, by law, a sticker is supposed to be placed in the engine compartment which indicates an R134a conversion. But it could have certainly been converted by someone who was inept and didn't put the sticker in place.
