Cameras mounted on tripods are great things too...have lots of light in the workspace and if necessary put a something over the button to keep it claen.

My camera has a remote control (like for a TV) so I just use that and wash it up when I am done.

It even zooms/focuses and everything...makes doing DIY a little easier...although as stated previous...its never easy
