I think you did an outstanding job documenting a rebuild for one of these pumps. I think I've got an old one somewhere. I hope I didn't toss it in the trash.
I remember messing with it earlier this year but I never got around to opening it. Maybe mine didn't have the long screws.
Does it make such a big difference if you have a working one or not? I've read somewhere that a bad one can fry to climate control head. In one of my cars I just keep it disconnected because I have a feeling it's about to go out. I haven't noticed any difference in heat inside the car.
