IMHO, the main problem with fixing your 20 year old mercedes seats is that you end up with nicer 20 year old mercedes seats but they are still 20 year old mercedes seats. Not for everybody, but I bought a pair of matching grey leather seats out of a 98 BMW 750iL. So much more comfortable and adjustable than any Mercedes seat I've experienced. Cost me $250 and they are in great shape.
