Generally it is there that restriction happens! If they are not nearly plugged up with thick oily clumps there isn't a depreciable restriction. If you need to clean each one make sure the valve is closed and use a shop vac to remove any residual left behind from a cleaning.

They were full of crapola just like the intake manifold and it's crossover. I used some Seafoam on the 617 but it got really rev happy (obviously due to open manifold) but it's not something I'd care to do again.
How is one to clean the backside of those valves?
