If the wiring harness is original, that may be the culprit. I've never done it, but from what I've read, it isn't extremely hard to change.

That car is cheap because it has a problem. Mine had similar problems, which resulted in a very high bill. More than half of what I paid for the car for repairs, including labor. This was done by a previous owner. In addition to a wiring harness, mine got new ECU, RLC, fuel pipes, glow plugs and more.

Unfortunately, the factory doesn't seem to sell the repair manual for that car. They stop at '95. Perhaps soon. I don't think you would need the manual to change the wiring harness, if it is bad. If you can look at the car, you should see just how bad they are.

If the car really is in excellent condition and that milage is accurate, you can afford to put a bit into it.

I should note that I really like my 210. It's a bit flimsier than the old tanks, but it drives great.
