I agree, that there are valid reasons for larger wheels on cars with significant performance modifications. But, IMHO, 17-inch chrome wheels on a stock W123 is just silly looking. The last thing my W123s need are larger brakes. They already have considerably more stopping power than "going power," if you know what I mean.
