Aaron, I don't know how much heat, if any, that a hood pad would hold in over night. My understanding is that the hood pads were primarily desing to keep engine noise down. As far as finding out if your car came with one or not, you could call a dealer and see if thee is a listing for a hood pad. You could also search through "Fastlane" for a hood pad. I gather your car is a gas model, so I doubt it has a block heater. Actually if this car has been in Canada for sometime I would imagine it had one installed at some point. If not, you could has one put in. I think a blockheater runs about $50 U.S. and it installs in one of the engine block's freeze plugs.
