The some problem has happen on my wife's 300E with 103 engine about 3 years. I has changed the fuel filter and rotor, I don't think either the new filter or the rotor fixed the problem, but may be the root cause of the problem is fuel pumps or relay.

The problem has gone away on its own after about 2 months later, and it has not reappear.
