There was a wagon on cl yesterday for $4k... http://portland.craigslist.org/car/127930986.html. I called about it... ~340k miles, leaks on rear floor boards, power window issues, requires manual engine shutdown, didn't ask about rear sls... I just can't justify $4k for such a car. I'd like to find one with under 250k miles... please let me know if you come across any. |
I got pretty lucky. I posted a want add on Portland's and Eugene's craigstlist. Someone repsonded at one point. He had bought the wagon for the engine. But they same weekend found and engine only with less miles. he wasn't looking to make a bunch of money, just wanted to break even. I told me he had been offered a lot more, but he started dealing with me first so declined the offer. I was really lucky. It was never advertised. I'll keep my eyes peeled, and let you know if I find something reasonable.
