I do not know which controller sent the code, may have been the AAM or the Engine control module, but I did look up the code and it says "no communication with the trans control module from CAN" (words to that effect, I cannot remember the exact verbage)

I pulled the pan and the trans was spotless inside.

The problem is we cannot get the adaptation values out of the controller, because the data flows from the module through the CAN to the data link connector. The module isn't talking. How can I test to see if it is a defective module if it won't speak? I was hoping there was a way to bench test the module. But I guess the only way to find out is to buy a new module and try that. With my luck, the problem will be a loose wire somewhere after I buy a non-returnable special order part.
