Don't forget the drag link - that's the great big tie rod which connects the pittman arm (on the steering box) to the idler arm. It has ball joints at either end, just like the tie-rods.

The upper strut mounts are also good candidates for replacement. These are rubber mounts which locate the top of the strut in the chassis of the car. They degrade over time which permits both noise, vibration, and harshness into the car, and also permit the top of the strut to move around a bit. It's kinda like having worn ball joints.

Speaking of which, you should have those checked too.

I don't know what "strut towers" are.
