2 hrs out and 2 hrs in should cover the shop time. Depending on location you could be able to do the job for less than $800 total with good used parts including new seals, shift link rubber grommets and new tranny mount - with you buying the fiddly bits on internet in advance.

Location is key. Am certain at Hollywood it can cost as much as $3k. Speak to independent mechanics about good used tranny, thats what I'd do. Then you can clobber them if the tranny aint any good.
