Potentially it is an easy job as long as you find all the bolts.
I thought I had all of them out on the 87 but there was one bolt at the very top that could eluded me. When you look at diagrams of the bell housing it looks like there are two bolts on top but since the trans is tilted slightly to one side, one of the two bolts becomes one at the very top and its a hard one to get at on a car with the 603 engine. It may be easier on the 126 body with the 617 engine.
Another problem I encountered was when I reinstalled the tranny in my car. The front lip of the metallic foil insulation from the top of the trannt tunnel got caught in between the engine and bell housing. I wasn't aware of that until I tried threading in the top bolts. What a pain it was to pull it out. I had to reseparate the tranny. I lost an hour messing with it.
