I have an '82 300SD. It will only start with a shot of starting fluid. Smokes like a smoke bomb for about a minute then runs fine. It will restart while it is still hot. Once the engine is cold, you can crank it till the battery dies and it wont start. I have replaced the alternator, battery and fuel filters. No change. ok gurus........whats goin on here?
