Malibu is a nice place to drive through. You can go pretty fast through highway 1 but the road is not banked for high speed. At least the guy hit the pole rather than flying off the cliff plunging 100 feet into into the pacific ocean.
You can get away with speeding there.
I rented a shiny yellow (the only color available) Porsche for my 25th birthday and I did get a few high beam flashes from other Porsche drivers warning of police up ahead.
