I have a 1976 240 D nice paint very straight body only rust was on the battery tray. 4 speed I believe it has less than 19 miles on the clutch I will know for sure when I pull the engine this weekend interior is shot except passenger seat. Great rust free body panels I will sell any thing off this car every thing you need to convert a automatic to a manual or the roof. This car has power nothing the good deal here doors say $10 each roof $90 floor pans $25 parts are cheap I am keeping the engine but am removing the engine from a 1973 220D to replace with the 240D engine the 220D engine has 0 miles on a $400 head rebuild with all new intake valves. $200 for the rebuilt 220D head or the whole engine it has a broken cylinder ring but only has 140K miles on it unfortunately the owner took meticulous care of the cosmetics but never thought to change the oil. So I am taking this 220D I was given putting the engine out of a 240D that I was also given that happens to have a great 220D engine stuffed in it and making one stellar looking 1973 220D with working AC and wing windows the perfect car next to a 1979 300sd
I will add the paint code in the morning the more parts stripped off this car in ten days the happier my neighbors will be so wont you buy a rear quarter panel from a rust free CA car cheap if you’re in the bay area it has nice tires too. Please help me piss off the city but the hulk must be gone to the scrap metal pile in ten days
