Tony, the 500E is not only about the engine...I like the wider design and the sight of a 500E front running up from behind to
woooossshhhh along on the German autobahn; it is the sight that I like the most.
For me it is the wider chassis with the different lights and over complete interior...everything bigger as 6 cylinders is way too fast to hold on to my beloved driving license.
On the German site
www.mobile.de somebody is trying to sell a 300CE24 with 500E exterior...unfortunately there are no pics added, but for me the 300-24 engine would be power enough for the 500 fenders.
