I have never suffered rust on any of my old clunkers and I have
a numbe of old clunkers.... my secret is to always have an oil or transmission
fluid leak or better yet both...

I always tend to wind up with a leak and they always tend to be small so
i never repair them.... and they always keep the underside coated with oil
never any rust... he...he...he...
