Help head gasket W124 260E M103 engine

I went to see a MB dealer to renew the cylinder head gasket which leaks towards the exterior, on my 260 E of 1988, 400 000km, I am the only owner of the car and gave a lot of attention to its mecanic and I do not wish to get rid of this car. Coolant has always been from MB.

He confirmed the leak but does not wish to undertake the repair. According to him and considering the age of the car, one risks to find either the cylinder head or the surface of the block corroded and thus to face very expensive repairs.

I have already changed cylinder head gaskets on other marks around 200 000 km but I do not have experience on MB at 400 000 km.

I believe that I will have to decide to do it myself.
What about corrosion, somebody does have experience and give me some hints?
What are the chances to find the cylinder head or the block corroded?

What is the reference of the tool for the cylinder head bolts (FACOM, MB or another mark)?

I saw in a technical manual that there are two types of screws (with and without washers) is it the same tool?

Is it posible to extract the pin on the chain guide without the inertia extractor?

Thanks for your help
