I second Californian (I think)

Biodiesel is a great parts cleaner. It's worth making a small 5 gallon bucket batch to do so. Checkout infopop.biodiesel.cc

Best part is the BD is a good parts cleaner and the glycerine byproduct is a good degreaser for everything else... like when I get grease on the car or, etc... But be careful because BD will strip some paint...
