Three fasteners on top are the strut mounts. The strut itself has a large nut and a hex key to keep it from turning. Now that I tink back one of the large nuts gave me a problem. I had to heat it with Mapp gas to get it to come off. It is very similar to replacing shocks.
A good illustration of this is in the Haynes Mercedes 190 manual. It covers most of the susension repairs and is worth the investment for you about $15 even though it says 1984 through 1988 it is basically the same.
