Yeah.. I thought as much. It's never anything simple with a slush-box (geez I wish I could find a reliable 5/6 speed to toss in there). I've rebuilt a couple of Ford trannies over the years.. it's some complex stuff requiring a clean-room (or so it seems). Well.. I guess it's off to the shop for a transectomy. I've already posted in my region re: a good shop to do the service and nada...

Is there a consensus on having a shop do the rebuild *or* purchasing one already rebuilt and then finding a local wrench to do the R&R?
