Not to hijack your thread but I am looking one also in black 040 (passenger side), except mine needs to have the vents cut in it by the turn signal cutout for the turbo in my 1993 W124 300D 2.5 (1990-1993), would love to have the gold pinstripe also.

I will be on the lookout for a gasser like yours, you do the same.
