My 85 5 cylinder 300D is finished post engine overhaul, new head, timing chain. I put the pump back in and timed it, but the car won't start. Last time I rebuilt my 240D the engine turned over on first start.
On my 85 5 cylinder injection pump--I shoved it back in with notches matched and 24 ATDC--but I didn't check for Rabbit Years on the Cam, both lobes up. Since Crank turns 2x for Cam 1x, is it possible I am 180 degrees off? Do I have to remove pump and reset it? I sthis possible? respectfully RC
