My son (who will soon "inherit" the 300TE) and I keep talking about dropping a V8 in the 300TE. Ah, to be young and have dreams.

I agree with you on the newer Benzes. You're lucky your wife shares your passion for newer cars...mine is not to keen on old cars.

The other day I read an article about how St. Louis is fast becoming the place to be in the Midwest. I am glad, because I always thought St. Louis was a great city.
