thread probably ought to be in detailing but anyway. there are products out there that can patch vinyl, leather etc. you mix and match the color, apply the putty-like stuff then mold some texture into it before it cures. the pictures are much nicer than the actual result in my experience. i'd check some detailing shops who might do a better job...
