ON US(1981-85) & euro(1980-84) LHD cars the idle box (ECU) is about 12" from the brake booster on the firewall under the hood! NEVER seen a RHD W126 chassis. On 1986 US cars the idle control ECU is inside the car under the passenger side floor carpet.
