The 84 300D I got for $3500, new tires, brakes, shocks, alternator, water pump within 3 months - interior is excellent, no rust paint is a 7. The 83 SD as described above was just over 5K. The more I have crawled around it - it is phenomenally sound. Interior is perfect... I have not found anything that does not work and both cars have maintenance papertrails from the same dealership since new.
