FYI: there are a number of japanese cars with fuse boxes that are exposed on the bottom. The only hard part with what I did was sealing around the bundle of wires passing through the firewall.

Yea, I love the Mercedes diesels. I'm toying with the idea of paying someone to install the OM617 into my Isuzu Trooper (I'm not sure if it's fuse box is exposed on the bottom, but this thread will make me look next time that I'm under the hood).
