I have Michelin Pilot Alpin's 215/55R-16 snow tires for my W210 and they are excellent on the snow and ice. I never would have thought that the W210 could handle so well on snow and ice. My summer tires are Michelin Pilot's P225/50R-16 which I got stuck on my ice covered driveway.

For my winter tires I purchased a set of AMG look-alike rims from Bekkers. They are a quality rim made in Germany but not the same quality (or price) as the authentic AMG rims.

The smaller tire may affect your speedometer which also may affect you transmission shifting slightly.
