Aristocrat is pretty good, they did the subframe recall job on one of my R107's. Some of the service folks weren't thrilled about me coming in with a 30 year old car, but others were very happy to help.

There is an independent shop in Lawrence, KS that should be noted. Red Ink Racing in North Lawrence does all kinds of European cars, including weird old ones. He has a lot full of SEVERAL old Benzes and he is very knowledgeable. His prices are a little steep for an indy shop, but the guy really knows his stuff. I've had Volvos worked on there and a 300SD.

Additionally, the shop Beau's Imports in Lawrence damn near killed my 300SD. It wasn't starting and I had it taken over to them to work on. They got it running, and I immediately noticed that some of the wood trim on the door was broken off, and about half way between Kansas City and Wichita I noticed a strong smell of burning oil. Turns out one of their mechanics tore the hose from the crankcase vent to the air filter and tried to put garden hose over the tear. I was not amused. They denied they had anything to do with it.
