patrick....I have spent hours on end customizing my stereo in my 190E, and have over $2500 US dollars invested in it. I built a custom ported box for the trunk that is incredilble. I took out the emergency kit and had thelid professionally cut off and then lined the opening with matching speaker cloth to cover it. This left me with a hole in which I ported two ports. Right now I hit 142 decibels, not bad for a rookey. Don't remove the rear deck lid with the speakers, it will depreciate the car's value. If you don't use the opening to port the subs, you can fit two 6x9 speakers perfectly in the space also. Just write me directly if you have any questions, I have all my dimensions, and know how to run the wiring, etc, etc, etc....P.S. you can mount your amp behind the gas tank, makes for an awesome place to protect it from thiefs, but only if it is cooled.
