If your tank is low on fuel, jack up the rear or drive on a curb, crawl under with safety glasses, rag, screwdirver and the largest pail that will fit & verify fuel flow from the tank line on pass. side of the differential. If fuel is dirty or slugish, empty the tank, add gassoline, slosh around, drain & verify flow through the strainer. If this cleans the strainer, fill tank with diesel. If not procede to removing the strainer ... see archived posts. You need to kill all the bugs in the compleat fuel system so add the biocide and fill the tank.
Avoid fuel stations that do not have a high # of diesel customers. Use stations the have a high turnover of fuel in their tanks. The more customers, the more likely complaints will force better maint. on their bulk tanks. Truck stops are the best. One bad batch of fuel will be broadcast on CBs and their sales will fall within days and stay there for weeks.
