ill upload them this weekend. No i didnt find them sticking out of the new filter, it was a used filter from when i was doing an oil change.
i had pulled out the mann filter from the filter housing. I had a small pan ontop of the engine where i put the filter in. When i put the filter in the pan i saw 3 pine needles floating in the oil coming out of the filter. At first i thought it was from the tree that i had parked next to. But its an olive tree so the leafs arent like pine needles.
So i examine the filter and find pine needles stikcing out of the filter, i cut it open only to find cotton gin waste, more pine needles, and wood chips inside. Looking down into the filter housing there were pine needles inside as well. I was very upset! Im hoping this Mahle/knect filter wont give me the same grief.
