This would have undoubtedly worked. Foreign princes are often seen shopping at the Gap in suburban NJ malls. Although when I met Queen Noor while standing in line at Manchu Wok in the food court, she was carrying a Bed, Bath and Beyond shopping bag, so you never know.

Here's a quick lesson for you in personal security. Cops and security guards wear the vests on the outside to deter people from taking action. They want you to see it because it sends a message. VIPs and private bodyguards wear vests under their clothes to avoid attracting attention to themselves and the people they're protecting. People who take great lengths to attract attention to themselves in order to show that they are important probably aren't all that important.
