Actualy the book calls for changes every 3,500! I was surprised since most new cars are at least 7,500.

Honda and Toyota have been doing this Xw20 thing for at least the past 5-6 years and it seems to work for them. My old Camry had a steady diet of 8k-10k mile changes until I got it at 125k. I think its up to 160k now and still running along, the car will probably go the the junk yard with a decent running engine.

Toyota is very good at getting hp out of a little engine. Its a 2.4L 4 rated at about 170hp I think. Not sure of the exact number.
