Just to clear it up, not all 603's are the same... My 1987 603 is a 3 liter engine. The 603's in the 90-94 cars are 3.5 liter, I think. They cast them with larger bore cylinders without changing anything else. The extra power/torque produced tends to be more than the rods can handle over time --> rod benders.
