My first guess would be no spark, and you can buy a spark checker that looks like a spark plug for around ten dollars. If you lack spark, my first guess would be a bad cap and rotor. The rotor button can go bad and stilll look ok to the naked eye.

To check for fuel, see if there is any resistance on the flap under the aircleaner while the key is on. If the flap just pushes down, you lack fuel pressure. Try this at your own risk, as when you push the flap down you are injecting raw fuel into the engine while it is stopped, in other words, you could fill the engine with fuel easily.

A large intake leak from a broken brake booster vac line would also cause a no start.
