within the last six months i believe a comprehensive list has been posted. you will find i believe that the alloy block v8s dont weigh a lot more than the iron block sixes. the overall weight increase in the cars is partially attributable to heavier duty trannys rear ends brakes wheels etc being used along with the bigger displacement engines.

and i think it is true that none of the gassers weigh as much as the diesels.
