1) Remove the one line that goes from the black box to the passenger side. It goes to a temperature switch in the thermostat housing. Toss it in the trash.

2) Remove one of the lines that goes from the black box to the driver's side.......back near the fuse box. It goes into a T. Toss it in the trash. Now, you've got an open hole in the T. Remove the T and toss it in the trash. Now, you've got two plastic lines. Connect the two lines with a short piece of hose.

3) Remove the second of the two lines that goes from the black box to the driver's side.........back near the fuse box. It also goes into a different T. Toss it in the trash. Now, you've got an open hole in that T. Remove the T and toss it in the trash. Now you've got two plastic lines again. Connect these two lines with a short piece of hose.

4) There is a final hose that goes from the temperature switch on the thermostat housing to the EGR valve. Pull this line and toss it in the trash.

5) Pull the rubber plug off the black box and toss it in the trash.

Now, you've got a nice and organized engine compartment.
