DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT install a cheap aftermarket filter with see through case in the high pressure fuel line of your Mercedes. The result will soon be an engine fire, or at the very very least, an extremely dangerous situation as the 85 - 90 psi in the fuel line blows the rubber connectors right off the steel lines and sprays fuel all over the engine. What COULD be done is to add a high pressure fuel filter, similar to what L-jetronic vehicles like the Nissan 280Z's used, but it would have to be plumbed in with high pressure fittings and lines.
Just my two cents worth.
