I have the same experience with the hoses under the air cleaner. The vacuum line on mine is also just the right length, whichi makes it hard to get it back in, and pops out sometimes.

I also have one line that I know is leaking, but found no reference to that color-coded line at all. One valve have either a missing plug (cap) or a missing line. Also, from the CD-ROM I know that for some models the nipple on the vacuum retard of the distributor are supposed to have nothing connected.
