Just had a timing chain replaced on a '77 240D, he also adjusted valves and changed return lines to stop a leak as well cleaned up the topside of the engine. The car is running much smoother and stronger now. Brought it home, deisel purged, and the engine didn't even exibit valve rattle the next evening when started from cold (45 degrees here in Rosamond, CA).
